Tips for Participants for your Zoom S.A.I.L. Class

  • Clear an area 6 X 6 feet in front of your computer
  • Hard floor is preferable to carpet if possible
  • You need a sturdy, armless chair that does not have wheels or a front crossbar
  • Determine the amount of weight you want to use (tips below)
  • Place your water bottle and weights under your chair
  • Lace on good workout shoes

How to determine the correct amount of weight to use

  • Start LIGHT – it is more important to have correct technique
  • If it is difficult to do 8 correct reps, you have too much weight
  • If you can do 15 correct reps quite easily, you should add weight
  • Bicep Curls are a good test. Lateral raises are a bad test.
